Larsen, a future Cal State Fullerton player, is on the first team with two sophomores from CdM (21-5, 11-4 in league), left fielder Preston Hartsell and sophomore shortstop JT Schwartz. The trio led CdM to its first 20-win season in 12 years.

The Sea Kings, who split second in league with Beckman, lost at Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon, 7-3, in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoffs.
