CORONA DEL MAR — Brett Olson produced a run-scoring single to end the game in the bottom of the seventh inning of the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Olson, who went two for three with a run batted in, pitched a complete-game, three-hitter with five strikeouts.

Hunter Cullen, Nick Roco, Dakota Armstrong (RBI) and Ryan Udkoff added one hit each for CdM, which ends its season at 9-17, 4-11 in league.

CdM, Newport split doubleheader at UC Irvine

Battle of the Bay contests are usually a big deal in any sport. The Corona del Mar High and Newport Harbor baseball teams turned it up a notch Monday, as the Sea Kings and Sailors played a nonleague doubleheader at UC Irvine's Anteater Ballpark.
